Hi! I'm a designer and journalist based in Washington, D.C. I currently work at HuffPost, where I research and design data visualizations. I've also worked as a designer at the Center for American Progress and the Investigative Reporting Workshop. I attended American University, where I studied journalism, graphic design and art history.

Speaking

I've presented at Malofiej, the infographics world summit in Pamplona, Spain (I also judged the competition in 2015), the Society for News Design's annual workshop, and the Lesbians Who Tech Summit.

Awards

HuffPost's project on jail deaths, which included a database page that I designed and created infographics for, won a bronze medal at at Malofiej. I also contributed an essay on the future of infographics to Malofiej's 25th anniversary book.

HuffPost's 2016 election dashboard received an 'Award of Excellence' at the Society for News Design's annual Best of Digital Design competition.

I designed and illustrated a project on policing in schools that was a finalist in the Online Journalism Awards topical reporting category.

An infographic I designed on wedding costs by state appeared in the 2015 edition of Best American Infographics.
